Snowy Day

DoeSince I got here the weather has been really nice in the seventies.  When the weathermen said yesterday we'd have snow I was doubtful.  This time yesterday it was 75 degrees.  Now its 35 degrees outside.  And to my surprise it actually snowed.  Its starting to feel a lot like the holidays.

Mountains and Oceans

Mountains and complaints
Oceans and hopes
The past is gone
Because that's how it goes
Today I believed,
and wasn't let down
The light in the tunnel
is more than a sound

I can run
I can hide
I can do more
than simply survive
Moving from High to Low
means moving water on stone
Smoothing out the corners
making moods less jagged
A prince become a pauper
asking less but still demanding

I love this life
The possibilities!
The strands of gold fibers
Each chance fills a need

The words stack up
The days grow long
A sweet Summer's Day
grows to a Winter's Song
Maybe a playful lament
full of hopeful sorrow
This dance tonight
with no worries of Tomorrow.
