Hollywood is burning

At work there's a flat screen TV in the entry way that used to show demos and company information.  Recently the receptionist and lots of executives moved to another office and the tv fell on disuse.  Lately its been showing CNN during the day and I see it when I walk by.  Its kind of disturbing.  Right now its showing the headline "Hollywood is Burning" and showing the news from LA.  Earlier it simply had the "Nightmare Scenario".  Its not that I don't care about current events, it just seems CNN just wants to scare us into huddling around our tv's and wait for the end of the world.  Which CNN says might happen any day now...

Tired

Ugh, today was a tiring day.  I've been writing lots of code at work and today I got to the point where I just couldn't look at the screen any more.  I came home early and did some work around the house.  And now I'm listening to Roger Clyne and The Peacemakers and wondering where the day went...

Plain white T-shirts

Tonight I went to Target to buy lots of odds and ends.  I needed clothes and some new shoes.  I bought a pack of white crew neck t-shirts.

I've always worn them and I guess I took it for granted that everyone did.  I realize that its something I get from my father.  He was in the military and would always wear a t-shirt under his fatigues.  When I was really little I remember my siblings and I used to wear them as night shirts.  Its amazing to think we were ever that small!  I sometimes ask if I'm turning into my father but other times like now I'm thankful for the things I got from him. ;-)
