Thid Stage of a Rocket

This is the second piece I read on stage at the Paper Heart Gallery last night.  Its a significant piece for me.  I've been in love twice and its about this "third stage"...

Cabal in The Night

Tonight instead of recording a new episode of Me vs. The Radio I went out to the Paper Heart Gallery to perform some poetry. 

Below is the first piece I read... Its based on a true story of an attempt to escape from East Berlin while the Berlin Wall was still standing.

End of a great weekend!

I had a great weekend.  Its sunday night and I'll go to sleep soon but I just wanted to write down some of the things worth remembering:

- I had Indian food at Udupi Cafe.  And the company was wonderful.

- I went to a bunny theme party and had to find bunny ears and tail.  Shopping with Czarina for an outfit was alot of fun. . 

- I went to an Absinthe Party where my friend Chris was kind of enough to share the absinthe she brought back.  (My bottle was confiscated by customs) We had a really good time.  The food was yummy and once again the company was great.

- Then tonight I went to see Jeff Beck in concert.  The show was fantastic.  He's a great guitar player and he's musically all over the map.  And he's very expressive with a guitar.  He uses all sorts of tricks to make different sounds.  He played an instrumental version of A Day in the Life by the Beatles. He also did a second encore of Somewhere Over the Rainbow with a slide. Un-believeable.

- I cleaned my house. I worked on the front and backyard.  I was covered in sweat but I've made a dent.  No more dead weeds. ;-).

It was just a fun weekend.  I'm blessed to have so many good friends. I hope everyone else had a good weekend.
